The transition from conventional agriculture to agroecological systems - a new concept of rural development - demands a progressive and continuous change. This gives priority to the social, economic, environmental and scientific spheres. Thus, the objective of this study was to compare two agroecosystems by indicators of agroecological sustainability. Both estates were located in the rural area of Campinas and Jaguariúna, State of São Paulo. The estates were evaluated based on 63 indicators and compared using radar graphs and Kruskal-Wallis test. The results show that the evaluation of aspects in various fields allows better categorizing the production stage and quality in the system. The estates are evolving in the agroecological transition; Vila Yamaguishi has the most structured system.
