Abstract

This article aims to address ten key points to understand the Qualis (classification of journals) and thus answer questions that are often presented to area coordinators by scientific editors, teachers and students of graduate programs. The questions will be presented in order to clarify aspects applicable to all areas of evaluation whenever possible. Some particular aspects will build on the experience of Public Health area.

Rita de Cássia Barradas Barata, Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo, Brasil

Doutora em Medicina Preventiva pela Universidade de São Paulo (1993). Coordenadora da Área de Saúde Coletiva na Capes e representante da Grande Área da Saúde no Conselho Técnico Científico da Educação Superior (2008-2014). Atualmente, é professora adjunta da Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo. Professora visitante do Instituto de Salud Juan Lazarte - Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina. Bolsista de produtividade do CNPq, nível 1D. Membro da Comissão de C&T da ABRASCO e do Conselho da International of Epidemiological Association. Editora científica da Revista de Saúde Pública.
