RBPG publishes its 2026 volume
he new edition of the Brazilian Journal of Graduate Studies (RBPG) is now available. The journal features articles written by scholars with doctoral degrees from different regions of Brazil, addressing public policies related to the National Graduate Education System (SNPG), basic education teacher training, and other initiatives undertaken by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES).
Volume 42, corresponding to 2026, is a regular annual edition published on a continuous basis. Articles will therefore be published as they are approved through the editorial process. The first articles released in this edition address topics such as the assessment of researcher productivity, the effects of the pandemic on graduate programs, and gender diversity in teacher education.
RBPG celebrates its 22nd anniversary in 2026. Throughout its history, the journal has occupied and fostered an important space for disseminating technical and scientific knowledge on education, science and technology, international cooperation, and innovation. In 2025, the journal received a Qualis A2 rating and published 75 scientific articles presenting research findings and experiences related to graduate education, teaching, and teacher education in Brazil. These publications are included in volumes 40 and 41 of the journal and received more than 250,000 views last year.
In 2026, RBPG is adopting a new system for identifying its editions. After using a sequence composed of volume and issue numbers—as in its most recent editions, Vol. 19, No. 40 (2024), and Vol. 20, No. 41 (2025)—the journal will now use only the edition sequence, adopting the designation Vol. 42 (2026). This change is intended to align the publication with contemporary best practices in scholarly publishing.
