This article briefl y discusses the situation of the professional masters programs in Brazil. It reveals some key elements of such programs and offers considerations with respect to two basic requirements established for their approval and implementation: research output and dissertation applicability. It also presents some considerations pertaining to the evaluation of these programs and discusses the existence of the National Forum of Professional Masters Programs.Downloads
