PERFIL DOS EGRESSOS DO PROGRAMA DE PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO EM ODONTOLOGIA INTEGRADA DA UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE MARINGÁ

The aim of this work was to evaluate the profile of the graduates of the Graduate Program in Integrated Dentistry of the State University of Maringá (PGO/UEM), from 2008 to 2019. A questionnaire with 19 questions was applied. Of the total of 104 graduates, 74 answered the questionnaire (71.2%). Of the 74 graduates, 59 were females and 15 males. The majority (72.98%) lived in the state of Paraná, were married, with an average age of 26.1 years at the time of enrollment. After completing the course, 50% of the graduates took a PhD and 40.5% took specialization courses. The most common area for PhD was Integrated Dentistry and for specialization was Orthodontics. Of the total of graduates who participated in the research, 33 (44.6%) were teaching, their exercise being exclusive or combined with the activities of a private practice or public health service. Most exercised teaching in private institutions. Of the graduates, the majority reported keeping the Lattes curriculum up to date and, after finishing graduate school, having published in national and international magazines. It is concluded that the graduates of PGO/UEM are more concentrated in the state of Paraná (72.98%) benefiting to the regional population, many exercises their teaching, continue their studies and have published articles, contributing to the country's intellectual production. PGO/UEM has achieved its institutional objectives; however, the constant evaluation and investment in innovation and internationalization of the program are important factors for its improvement.
