Abstract

Based on the experience of the research project “Youth and Media Consumption in Times of Convergence”, funded by the National Academic Cooperation Program – PROCAD of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES this paper aims to reflect upon the public policies that stimulated the implementation of cooperation networks as an important element for strengthening graduate education in Brazil. From the diagnosis of graduate studies in Brazil, we point out that the process that constitutes research benefited by the Program allows the qualification of professors and students; the exchange between institutions; training and securing human resources, and creating a scientific academic habitus for supporting research networks.
