The aim of this study was to survey the graduates of the Masters’ Program in Science and Health at Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) regarding their academic and professional profile and their opinion of the course. Thirty-two out of the 39 who graduated from the program between 2006 and 2008 were questioned. Technical and scientific improvement and progress in the teaching profession were the main reasons why the respondents decided to enroll in the graduate program. Their scientific production was considered to be low and 90.6% hold a university position. The faculty was cited as the most positive aspect of the program, and the main suggestions for improvement regarded bettering the infrastructure and reforming the curriculum by adding some disciplines and excluding others.Downloads
