This study intended to analyze the process of developing in an interdisciplinary fashion the Graduate Program in Engineering and Knowledge Management at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, based on the perceptions of staff and students, considering their own experiences. The research was therefore predominantly qualitative in nature, utilizing descriptive and content-related questionnaires to obtain primary data. It discovered that interdisciplinarity” in the EGC/ UFSC graduate program is not seen as an end in itself. Rather, it is institutionally assumed that the program represents building process in which interdisciplinarity” is a concept that cuts across all of the program’s disciplines and research endeavors.Downloads
