Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the professional masters course as an academic activity. The itineraries, pathways, configurations, tensions and dilemmas of this type of course are explored. It is suggested that the professional masters should be valued as an innovative experience capable of contributing to the process of renovating Brazilian university courses at the graduate level.
