The origins and the institutional development of the Professional Master’s Program in Public Management for Development of the Brazilian Northeast are studied, with emphasis in its interinstitutional context, according to the peculiarities that characterize it, considering that this modality of Program does not have academic focus. The study has a descriptive-explanatory character, using documental and bibliographical research and interviews, with the prevalence of content analysis in the treatment of the data obtained. As result, it is delineated the process of the social construction of this Professional Master’s Program, as well as its perspectives of institutional legitimation.Downloads
