This article derives from the observation that there is a gap in critical educational research in the context of Latin America concerning the international comparative approach and that, due to the globalization of educational problems, there is a recent movement to resume comparative studies as a tool to support policy making. It aims to study aspects of the organization and availability of master courses in Brazil, France and Portugal. The comparative approach was developed through the identification of legislation and available statistical data. From the perspective of the other, the study focused on elements dealing with the identity construction of master courses in these countries in order to contribute to the improvement of this level of education and inspire other studies and investigations about the themeDownloads
