University research and teaching increasingly demand professor collaboration based on different departments, for the study of complex themes, through interdisciplinary approaches. The article provides a description of a program of this nature, focused on research and graduate formation in agribusiness, and an evaluation of its results after five years (1999 to 2004). The methodology was based on documental research and analysis of secondary data from the Capes reports and from information registered in the secretariat of the graduate program “PPG-Agronegócios” of the Center of Studies and Researches in Agribusiness of UFRGS. Main conclusion: the analyzed program is in a construction process involving the ideas of multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity, in accordance with the theoretical concepts that were utilized in the development of the study.Downloads
