Based on a project of systematized information on the expertise available at a university, through a computerized portal, this article refl ects upon conceptual and operational aspects of this issue. It presents perspectives which derive from the project, describing four main focuses for the adopted concept:: knowledge related to praxis; direct relations with Society; work dealing with concrete and specifi c problems; and facing those problems as an opportunity to create new knowledge. Considering the given injunctions for an information system (mediatization of expertise), this article presents the expectations resulting from this aim. It also develops relations with the concept of “innovation”, observes the conditions for articulation with research sustainability, and offers some propositions on organizational and prospective activities for the effi ciency of an information system about expertise in a university.Downloads
