This study is a refl ection on the need for a greater valorization of professional Master’s degree programs as an inductive policy for strict sense post-graduate studies in Brazil. This is important particularly for the qualifi cation of those who are called upon to join theory and practice in the exercise of their professional duties, seeking to apply acquired scientifi c knowledge in the workplace. It also presents the experience of the interdisciplinary Master’s program offered by the Center for Sustainable Development of the University of Brasília, emphasizing the similarities and the equivalence of this format with the academic model and its contribution to the formation of professionals who are better qualifi ed from a scientifi c standpoint.Downloads
