uma análise a partir da biografia de Katherine Johnson

Abstract

Based on the biography of Katherine Johnson, space scientist linked to the American Space Agency (NASA), this article seeks to analyze the form of inclusion/exclusion in organizations, based on the Systems Theory of Niklass Luhmann, for both raising discussions about the intersectional feminist perspective as a possible way to understand why even though they hold the means of inclusion, and even as members of the organization, black women are excluded. We opted for the critical feminist theory of intersectional strand as it allows the abandonment of simplistic analyses and the rupture of the discourse of the "universal woman", which disregards the crossing of race, class, and gender oppressions. To do so, as the research is inserted in the theoretical field, the approach of the feminist critical theory was adopted, using the literary review technique, with Kinberlé Crenshaw as reference. As results we bring the intersectional feminist theoretical strand as a possible path to understanding a certain fragility in systems theory, as it does not contemplate the complexity and contingency of intersectionality, transforming the idea of woman into a universal figure.
