Area 51 Programs Processes And Perspectives

Abstract

This article presents an overview of the 2021-2024 quadrennial evaluation process of the new Evaluation Area 51 – Sciences and Humanities for Basic Education of the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education, and briefly discusses the Area’s indicators, the prospects for the impact of the Programs on society, through the pursuit of higher quality in the training of masters and doctoral students. It also presents the method for measuring the qualified intellectual production of the Area, using primary sources such as the Area Document, the Evaluation Form, the Guiding Document for the Evaluation of New Course Proposals, and the 2025 Quadrennial Evaluation Report.
