The use of the didactic sequence for argument construction in an opinion article

In this work, we intend to analyze how the didactic sequence can be used to develop the student’s critical argument in the production of an opinion article. To do so, we sought grounding in the theories of Schneuwly and Dolz (2004) and present practical results of this application, derived from each module developed with students in the 2nd year of Liliosa Paiva Leite State High School, in João Pessoa (PB), as part of activities undertaking within the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teacher Initiation (PIBID – subproject Letters - Portuguese Language). The article reveals that using the teaching sequence is an excellent tool to develop the construction of argumentation in the textual genre known as the opinion article
