This article focuses on the role of the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Teaching Initiation (PIBID) in the formation of Physics teachers in the State of Rondônia, relating the experience from the initial elaboration of the project until the implementation of program at the Federal University of Rondônia. It discusses the obstacles faced and the successes achieved, especially with respect to the “pioneerism” of the activities in physics education in the State. The integration of research, teaching and extension constitute a key to the success of the PIBIDPhysics at the Institution.Downloads
