This is a case study of an exploratory nature. For data collection, it was used primary sources through interviews with the editor. From the constructed model, it was allowed to: (i) identify 84 criteria deemed relevant by the decision maker, (ii) evaluate the journal according to these criteria, and (iii) generate alternatives to improve performance, allowing the decision maker, understand the consequences of these actions. The results showed that the usefulness of the proposal could meet the objectives to identify, organize and measure relevant aspects in the perception of the editor, responsible for managing the journal.
