The article presents the experience of planning and implementing a Professional Master’s Degree for teacher education, focusing on the application of knowledge grounded in research, critical/reflective thinking and pedagogical innovation. The approach studied seeks to overcome differences and antagonisms between the Academic and the Professional Master’s Degree and focuses on the components that distinguish an innovation: a) alterations in current practice and b) an intentional, systematic and planned character, as opposed to spontaneous and sporadic changes. The article discusses the concepts of Professional Master’s Degree and innovation in education, presents the pedagogical project, its organization and the elements that allow for innovation in teaching, relates the experience until the present moment, and identifies possible improvements.Downloads
