Abstract

This study tries to map the attitudes, behaviors, and representations concerning the Collective Health imaginary, in a universe of 30 students and professors from a graduate course (stricto sensu) in the area of Dentistry, at a Federal University, as a form of understanding their world view and the social, scientific, and technological aspects that underlie their practices. This research also shows the necessity of having a better understanding of the social determination of the health-illness process and an adequate articulation of the educational models with public politcies and service practices in order to promote the structural development of the health sector. This sector supports its possibilities in the field of Collective Health through its capacity to form human resources.
