In this article we present the results of a research study made with graduates of a course of teacher training in chemistry which were fellows of PIBID. The graduates were interviewed by questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Our main aim was to identify the factors that define professional trajectories of the graduates and also to know the relationships between their participation in this program of initiation to teaching and their professional choices. Our data were analyzed by using grounded theory. Through this analysis we could elaborate an interpretation about the professional choices of newly certified teachers, whose primary option for permanent education is represented by formation as a researcher. Acting as a teacher is postponed for the future or is taken as an alternative project in their professional trajectories.Downloads
