Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the profile of the scientific productivity fellows of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development in the fields of physiotherapy and occupational therapy. We analyzed the Lattes curriculum vitae of all of the researchers in the two fields of knowledge. The variables considered were: gender, grant category, institution, time of completion of the doctorate, published articles, books and book chapters, and the advisement of undergraduate and graduate students. Among the researchers there was a prevalence of females, with most of the fellows in category 2, spread over 6 states of the Federation, predominantly residing in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. All scholars are linked to institutions of higher education. These results allow for reflection on scientific production in growth areas and can prompt discussion about the continued increase in financing from agencies for research funding.
