This paper presents results from the analysis of the teaching education of professors working in graduate programs in Law. The research was developed by using a quantitative and qualitative approach, based on a comprehensive mapping of the offer (or not) of disciplines related to higher education methodology and / or teaching in 116 post-graduation courses in Law recognized by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) in 2014, based on available information from CAPES and the courses analyzed. The study was theoretically supported by Aguiar (2004), Bastos (2000), Bezerra (2008), Bittar (2006), Capellari (2001), Ghirardi (2012), Stephanou (2006), Machado (2009), Morosini (2006), Muraro (2010), Sguissardi (2006) and Rodrigues (2000) as well as by the conceptual construction of a legal education that goes beyond simple memorization of accepted standard values.
