UFRPE IN THE CONTEXT OF UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENTALIZATION:
CONCEPTION AND ANALYSIS OF THE “SUSTAINABILITY MINUTE”

The work analyzes, within university environmentalization, the Sustainability Minute, a topic of the GIRO PPGEC academic bulletin that disseminates initiatives present at UFRPE related to sustainability and environmental education, aiming at the socialization of these themes with the academic community. University environmentalization processes are made up of several layers that are part of the administrative, teaching, research, extension and communication systems. The 14 topics published by SM between December 2019 and March 2023 that represent these layers are presented, resulting in two categories: Environmentalization of Management, which includes the disclosure of institutional plans and concrete actions; and Environmentalization of Teaching, Research and Extension, which adds the other/multiple layers of environmentalization of university life and its extensions. The sustainable campus project can be an expression of educational places, where the institution and the subjects can learn new values, knowledge and attitudes.
