This article analyzes an experience conducted by a group of university reseachers seeking to build an interdisciplinary research program. It reviews all of the stages of the process, from problem definition to team formation and, finally, to the discussion of initial outcomes. Rather than merely presenting results, about which interest would be limited by the thematic and geographic specificity of the experience, the article reflects on how the process was constructed and its difficulties and successes. The experience did more than clarify the problem that it addressed; it led to interdisciplinary group learning about a process whose nature was discovered in a progressive fashion.Downloads
