Abstract

In a productivist culture, marked by the appreciation of the publication of scientific papers, the subject of peer review becomes relevant. The aim of this study was to reflect on how productivism is seen by the reviewers of scientific papers in the area of Administration, in the light of three specific objectives: to identify the motivations and external influences that teachers act as reviewers, to understand their assessment about the peer review system in Brazil, and to identify the possible causes for them assigned to productivism. The approach of the study was qualitative, having as basic procedure the content analysis of 11 interviews with expert reviewers. The results show more criticism than praise for peer review, improvement recommendations and the association between the evaluation of Capes and productivism.

Helena Belintani Shigaki, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais

Doutoranda em Administração (UFMG), Mestre em Administração (PUC Minas - 2014), Especialista em Gestão Estratégica de Marketing (IEC/ PUC Minas - 2012) e Graduada em Administração (PUC Minas - 2010). Professora visitante nos cursos de Graduação em Administração e Sistemas de Informação na PUC Minas e, na Pós-graduação do UNI-BH. Pesquisadora do 'Núcleo de Pesquisa, Ensino em Marketing e Estratégias de Operações' da UFMG. Tem experiência em lecionar disciplinas de Marketing, tais como: Comportamento do Consumidor, Planejamento e Elaboração de Projetos e, Gestão Estratégica de Marketing dos cursos de Graduação em Administração e Graduação Tecnológica em Marketing (Centro Universitário UNA), Análise e Estratégia de Mercado e, Gestão da Informação (PUC-Minas), Branding e Comunicação (Pós-graduação UNIBH) e Pesquisa Qualitativa (Pós-graduação Unileste). Foi orientadora de Projetos Aplicados Interdisciplinares (Centro Universitário UNA); e de Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Pós-graduação UNIBH).

Roberto Patrus, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais

Pesquisador Mineiro - FAPEMIG, Doutor em Filosofia pela Universidad Complutense de Madrid, título revalidado no Brasil, na UFRGS, como equivalente a Doutor em Administração. Professor do Doutorado e Mestrado em Administração da PUC Minas, onde leciona desde 1989 e é responsável as disciplinas de Ética nos Negocios e Filosofia na graduação de Administração. Coordenador do GEPEAD - Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Ensino de Administração e Didática e vice coordenador do NUPEGS, Nucleo de Pesquisa em Etica e Gestão Social. Professor visitante da Universidad de Medellin e da EAFIT, ambas Universidades da Colômbia. Mestre em Administração pela UFMG, psicólogo formado pela UFMG e filósofo pela PUC Minas. Também atua como consultor na área de ética nos negócios. Autor de vários livros e artigos, é palestrante na área de Ética, Didática, Felicidade, Ética nos Negócios, Responsabilidade Social e Educação.
