Abstract

A Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública (ENSP), sediada no Rio de Janeiro, é uma unidade técnico-científica da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), instituição ligada ao Ministério da Saúde (MS). A ENSP atua na capacitação e formação de recursos humanos, produção científica e tecnológica e na prestação de serviços de referência no campo da saúde pública. O Programa de Pós-graduação Stricto Sensu (PPGSS) em Saúde Pública da ENSP oferece os cursos de Mestrado Acadêmico (desde 1977) e Doutorado (desde 1980), tendo iniciado a oferta de cursos de Mestrado Profissional (MP) em 2002. Neste trabalho são discutidos aspectos relativos à articulação do mestrado profissional com as outras modalidades de ensino oferecidas pela ENSP, bem como a importância dessa nova modalidade de ensino pós-graduado no cenário de formação de recursos humanos da instituição.
