PERFIL E COMPETÊNCIAS DE SECRETÁRIAS/OS DE PROGRAMAS DE PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO EM EDUCAÇÃO NO BRASIL

Abstract

This investigation analyzed the performance of secretaries of Graduate Programs in Education, regarding the demands of the CAPES’s quadrennial evaluation, aiming to qualify processes and managing practices of these employees for the best administrative-pedagogical performance of the programs, teachers and students, in the evaluation process. The methodology of this research was an exploratory-descriptive survey, both bibliographic and documental supported. From the total of 85 secretaries/participants of the research, the gender of most of them is female 58 (68%), the prevailing age range is between 30 up to 39 years old, and most of them work on Graduate Programs from 4 up to 10 years, where four secretaries have more than 20 years of working performance, where the time working in the area demonstrated experience in this function. The prevailing educational background is the Administration major. More than half of the participants seek for training, to fulfill the graduate program management demands. Among the training initiatives are the Forum of Secretaries of the South Region (FORSEC) and the National Meeting (ENSEC).
