Black children, Cultural Studies, State of ArtAbstract
This article aims to investigate the articulation between black children and the field of knowledge of Cultural Studies in articles from Brazilian scientific journals from 2010 to 2020. The methodological approach is characterized by a qualitative approach with the application of bibliographic research and State achievement of Art based on the processes of survey, mapping and analysis of articles published in Brazilian scientific journals with Qualis A1 and A2 (Education and Interdisciplinary), with the analytical stage based on the Discursive Genres of the Bakhtin Circle (2016). Five articles on black children in Brazil were located, and the discursive categories were structured: 1) black children and racism, covering black girls and boys in Brazilian children's literature, childhoods in the face of racism and interlocutions between race and Early Childhood Education; 2) black children and identity, with themes referring to children in iconographies in Brazil between the 19th and 20th centuries and the constitution of blackness in childhood. It is concluded that there is a need to expand publications on the subject and, mainly, that include Cultural Studies as an epistemological field, with the organization and publication of a thematic dossier being a possibility as a means of scientific dissemination and production of knowledge.
