This study consists of a documentary review of events supported by PAEP, an institutional program of CAPES, under the Ministry of Education. It analyzes events undertaken at two distinct moments, aimed at the same segment. The events included those supported in 2010 designed to train basic education teachers (this being the first year that the program included this segment) and those supported in 2013, four years after initiation of the mentioned activity. The study was conducted in order to identify the profile of the events and correlate them with issues such as scope, theme and amount of funds granted. Thus, the results can be used as a mechanism for reflecting upon government practices, in order to propose improvements that contribute to the role that this program plays as a public policy instrument for encouraging the formation of basic education teachers.Downloads
